Festival Fever!

With the UK festival scene growing stronger each year, backed by some of the most popular current acts, it’s no wonder that demand continues to grow. Here we’ve selected our top 6 events taking place throughout the country this year.

BST Hyde Park 30th June-9th July Hyde Park, London.
Headliners: Phil Collins, Justin Bieber, Green Day and Kings of Leon

Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park (BST Hyde Park) is a music festival held over two weekends once a year in London’s Hyde Park. It was the first event AEG Live held in Hyde Park since they acquired the rights to host concerts there, and features a wide range of musical genres. Since 2013, BST Hyde Park has seen headliners such as The Rolling Stones, Bon Jovi, Lionel Richie, Blur, Carole King and Take That; and this year promises to deliver some top acts too!

Glastonbury 21st-25th June Pilton, Somerset.
Headliners: Ed Sheeran, Radiohead, Foo Fighters and Rag ‘n’ Bone Man

Perhaps the most iconic festival of all time. Are you one of the lucky ones to have gotten a ticket for this year’s festival? If so, then lucky you! Every year when tickets go on sale, they are sold out within a matter of minutes.
Glastonbury began the day after Jimi Hendrix died, in 1970, making it one of the UK’s oldest festivals. The Pyramid Stage always provides the Festival’s most high profile attractions; however, there are many more experiences that can be found out on the outskirts. But if you are in any doubt about where to go when you’re there, the best advice is to just wander!

Bestival 7th-10th September Lulworth Castle, Dorset.
Headliners: Laura Mvula, A Tribe Called Quest, Pet Shop Boys and Soul II Soul

Bestival is an award winning four-day boutique music festival set on the Lulworth Estate – an enchanting, wooded country estate on Dorset’s Jurassic Coast. It was the brainchild of Rob da Bank, a renowned music specialist who had a dream to create his vision of the modern-day festival.
From the most original boutique campsite experience, to the Bollywood Tent, the incredible world of Caravanserai, fancy dress en masse and even a landlocked port, it’s certainly unique!

Reading & Leeds 24th-27 August Little John’s Farm & Bramham Park
Headliners: Kasabian, Eminem, Muse

Reading and Leeds Festival takes place over the August Bank Holiday weekend and this year, as with every other year, it promises to deliver top acts. Those taking to the stage this year include Liam Gallagher, Bastille, Haim, Charli XCX, Fatboy Slim and Glass Animals.

V Festival 19th-20th August Hylands Park & Weston Park.
Headliners: P!NK, Jay Z, Rudimental and Pete Tong

V Festival, often referred to simply as V Fest or VF is held annually during the penultimate weekend in August. The event is held at two parks simultaneously which share the same bill; artists perform at one location on Saturday and then swap on Sunday. The sites are located at Hylands Park in Chelmsford and Weston Park in South Staffordshire.

The festival was originally televised by Channel 4 from 1997 to 2013, predominantly on their sister channel 4 Music and the 2016 edition of the festival was televised by Channel 5.

Headliners: Chance the Rapper, Skepta, The Weeknd
