Could your new £10 note be worth £900?

POSTED ON 15 SEPTEMBER 2017

Within hours of the new, plastic, £10 note being issued, there were already signs of people trying to cash in with requests of up to £900 being asked of those desperate to get their hands on some of the first notes

In total, one billion of the notes have been printed and will be circulated over the coming months. Featuring author Jane Austin to mark 200 years since her death, eagle eyed collectors are looking for notes with serial numbers that reflect aspects of the author’s life, such as her date of birth 16 121775.

Have you managed to get your hands on one yet?

Next on the list for a revamp, following the £1 coin and £5 note is the £20 which is set to feature the artist JMW. But you’ll have to wait a while longer to get your hands on this one as it’s not due out until 2020.
